Charles Valsechi is best known for his oil paintings which clash bizarre characters against the worlds they live in. He was born to an immigrant mother and handyman father in the late 80's. Many of his child-hood summers were spent in the sun exploring the fields and forests that surround his mother’s home village. During this time he continually created characters and narratives out of every box, toy or drawing tool available. As a young adult he began to delve into various media including teaching himself to reprogram a video game to tell his stories. However, he always found himself pulled back towards drawing and the endless possibilities inherent in a simple 2-dimensional surface.
